a few of my favorite stamp sets

Collage of Favorite Image Stamp Sets

Now that I’ve picked my chin up off the floor after realizing a whopping 257 stamp sets will be retired this summer, I wanted to highlight a few of my favorite IMAGE stamp sets from the current Annual Inspirations catalog.

adored this year’s Operation Smile set called Animal Greetings.  Fun — easy to color — little animals each with a coordinating punny sentiment.  This has been darling for fun tags and little notes.  My kids have seen quite a few in their lunch box over the past year.

Always Grateful is the beautiful set with a few different trees and beautiful sentiments and the sentiment “Gratitude turns what we have into Enough” gets me every time.

Treats of Friendship and the other animal sentiments are so fun and cute.

The Packages, Boxes and Tags set may not seem glamorous but I love that you “build your own” gift tags in a variety of styles to match any gift wrap paper you have.  I just love when a card or tag “matches” a gift I’ve wrapped.

And finally I think the Salute our Heroes set is fabulous.  Clean, simple, striking and just gets me to the core.  At every Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Veterans Day my heart is filled with humility, respect, and gratitude for the families who serve in our military forces.  We are so blessed to live in this country — and truly it is the Home of the FREE because of the BRAVE.

I have really enjoyed creating cards, scrapbook pages and gifts for friends and family with these beautiful stamp sets!

257 Stamp Sets are Retiring

Audrey Hepburn Surprise ExpressionI can’t believe it either but I just counted the long long list!

The reason the list of retiring sets is so long this year is because:

CTMH  has continued to offer stamp sets from prior Seasonal Expressions catalog as long as supplies were in stock.

And even though they weren’t printed in the current Annual Inspirations catalog CTMH maintained online availability of stamp sets from prior Annual Inspirations catalogs IF they contained images compatible with CTMH Cricut Cartridges.

So in the attached listing** 16-retiring-stamp-sets (1) you’ll find the stamp sets in page order as they appeared in the most recent catalogs:

  1. the sets from the current 2015-2016 Annual Inspirations Catalog
  2. then the sets from the most recent Holiday Expressions Catalog (2015-2016)
  3. then the sets from last Spring’s (2015) Seasonal Expressions 2 Catalog
  4. then the sets from last Winter’s (2014-2015) Seasonal Expressions 1 Catalog, and
  5. finally the sets from older publications that were compatible with Cricut Cartridge

**it’s a PDF document, click on the file name two times and then you’ll be able to see it on your screen, save to your files, and/or print it out)

The 257 Stamp Sets on this Retiring List will be available until July 31st or while supplies last.

You can shop online for them right here.

CTMH – Retiring Product Lists

Carol Burnett croppedIt’s so nice we’ve had this time together…

So many CTMH products are being retired as of July 31st (or while supplies last).  I have to admit the lists are a bit shocking and I’m sorry to see many of these items go.  Just to name a few — 3 of the Cricut Cartridge bundles, the Rolling Tote Suitcase, all of our current 12×12 Photo Albums, all of the border punches, almost all of the embossing folders….and more.  (sob!)

Here are lists of all the retiring products… sorted in the order they appear on in our catalogs for easy reference:

  2. Here’s a list of all other retiring items:  16-ai-retiring-items-list

Unavailable List as of 6-15-16

>>  And then these are the retiring items which are no longer available at all because supplies have already been exhausted!  Yikes!

(and you don’t even need to dress up as if you were going to Wal-Mart or something)

FOOTNOTE:  If there’s something you’ve had on your wishlist, don’t wait to order it!

Retiring Cricut Cartridges

Retirement Just Ahead

We are winding down to the end of the current Annual Inspirations catalog year and Close to my Heart has announced which products are being retired.

One of the most surprising (to me) is the retirement of

THREE Cricut Collections:

They are all amazing collections with each cartridge having over 700 images to use in any kind of paper crafting project.   But here’s more information on what each bundle offers that sets them apart.

Art Philosophy was CTMH’s first Cricut cartridge and it’s just packed with basic shapes, 2 fonts, intricate backgrounds, borders and multi-dimensional flowers!  Here’s a little slideshow highlighting the types of images and the stamp sets included in the ART PHILOSOPHY bundle and you’ll also see some sample artwork.  Click here to go to my online store where you can see more information about Art Philosophy including all of the other stamp sets that feature coordinating images in this collections cricut cartridge.

Artiste was CTMH’s second Cricut cartridge.  It’s packed with any-season, any occasion icons, greetings, and a font but where it really shines is in the huge variety of 3D gift packaging images including bags, boxes, cupcake liners and more.  This is the go-to cartridge for making event favors and small gifts!  Here’s a little slideshow highlighting the types of images and stamp sets included in the ARTISTE bundle and you’ll see some sample artwork here too.  Click here to go to my online store when you can see more information about the Artiste bundle including the other stamp sets featuring coordinating images in this collections cricut cartridge.

Artfully Sent is one of the more recent releases of Cricut cartridges from CTMH.  Like it’s predecessors, it contains images for many seasons, holidays and occasions but this cartridge was all about skyrocketing card making to another level.  Here’s a little slideshow highlighting the types of images and stamp sets included in the ARTFULLY SENT bundle and you’ll see lots of sample artwork.  Click here to go to my online store where you can see more information about the Artfully sent bundle.  This cartridge is tailor made for making spectacular greeting cards but the images and icons here can also be used beautifully in scrapbook pages, for gifts and in pocket scrapbook pages.

HAPPY JUNE 15th!  That means it’s time for another

RB Blog Hop Banner

Tonight the Rose Blossoms will be doing a blog hop featuring art made with images from these retiring cartridges.  I wasn’t able to participate in this hop myself but here’s a link to Lynn Darda’s Bungalow — she’s the leader of today’s Blog Hop and it will go “live” at 7pm Central Time.  I’m sure you’ll enjoy and be inspired by the artwork you will see.

June2016 - The Long Way Home - Bicycle You Got This Card 2

The June Stamp Set of the Month is so much fun!

On initial glance THE LONG WAY HOME stamp set might seem like it’s just for travel and vacation themed scrapbook pages and albums.  But here I focused on one of the transportation vehicles (they bike) and paired it up with an encouragement sentiment from the CRAZY GOOD stamp set.  I also had fun incorporating some of the accessories which will be retiring soon:  Aqua Dots, Teal Glitter Paper, and Extra Thick Glacier Twine.  I’ll be sorry to part with all of them… sob!

Retiring Embellishments CollageHere’s a graphic of most of the accessory items being retired — so they’re only available through July or while supplies last and some are already sold out!

If you want to snag any of these fun items, you can click right here to shop online.  Personally…

I know I need to stock up on some more of those Aqua Dots — love that they’re self-adhesive and they seem to coordinate with so many patterned paper collections!

I also need to get some more of the purple glitter paper pack — the darkest shade is just the most gorgeous color of a plum/purple… it reminds me of Beaujolais Nouveau wine.

What about you?  What are your favorite accessory items from Close to my Heart?

Here are images of both complete stamp sets.

June2016 - The Long Way HomeTHE LONG WAY HOME — is the Stamp of the Month Set.  This is only available this month and with a $50 order, it can be yours for $5.  That’s a great value for a stamp set with 15 images!

D1661 - Crazy GoodCRAZY GOOD (D1661)- is being retired at the end of the current Annual Inspirations catalog year (July 31st).  It’s chock full of so many encouraging and upbeat sentiments for cards, gifts and scrapbook layouts so it’s a great one for anyone’s collection!  Any of these sentiments would have been cute with the trio of bicycles on this card!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!  Feel free to comment if you have any questions about products being retired or supplies used to create the card above.
