Now that I have seen the new catalog….

There are some exciting changes ahead.  I can’t show you new products but to make sure you don’t miss out on stocking up on any current favorites, here’s what’s going away or changing:

imagePHOTO ALBUMS:  The new 12×12 photo albums have solid color covers SO  the albums with patterned covers are only available while supplies last or until July 30th.  I love love love the cocoa damask pattern because it’s a bit of chameleon.  It’s the perfect color of a grayish brown so it will look as at home among warm/brown albums (and room furnishings for that matter) as it will among cool/black/gray colors.

7 COLORS… riding off into the sunset

The Adventure color palette is getting some updates.  If you want to stock up on ink pads, card stocks, ink refills, or embellishments in GYPSY, TOPIARY, PEAR, HONEY, SUNSET, COTTON CANDY, or HOLLYHOCK don’t delay.  Double click on any of the above images to see what is still available (as of yesterday) in these colors!

imageBig changes coming!  The card stocks with the glossy resist patterns on one side and the same pattern in color+white on the other side… Get ‘em now while you still can!  That goes for all the coordinating sticker assortment packs and glitter embellishment assortment packs too.

The pink, teal, and purple glitter paper assortments were on the list of retiring accessories I shared a few weeks ago and this is still true.  But even with the remaining colors, the glitter paper packs in the new catalog will have 3 sheets in the same color.  So if you want to stock up on any packs with the 3 sheets of assorted shades of any color, act now.  Don’t wait!

When I saw the patterned paper bags on the list of retiring accessories I was sure there’d be a new set in different colors in the new catalog.  But I was wrong.  If you like any of the products to stamp on for gifts or home decor, get ‘em while you still can!

Right now you can still buy an assortment pack of the small size flip flaps.  These sizes will still be available in the new catalog but each size will be sold separately rather than being combined in an assortment pack.  But the 6-inch square size  won’t be available in the new catalog.

You don’t even have to dress up!

Home of the Free….

Patriotic Card - Artfully Sent and Salute our Heroes

Thanks for visiting my blog today!  I am in Orlando at Close to my Heart’s convention but I wanted to write briefly to share a card I made with a few of my favorite things…

I used the retiring Cricut Artfully Sent cartridge to cut my card base with the array of patriotic sentiments from White Daisy Cardstock.

I used the retiring SALUTE OUR HEROES stamp set to heat emboss the “Home of the FREE because of the BRAVE” sentiment with Versamark Ink and White Super Fine Embossing Powder.

The other cardstock colors on this card are Pomegranate, Sapphire and Whisper.  And I added a couple silver sequins to add a little touch of sparkle.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you like this card!

MouseKeeping Envelopes

Today I am on my way to Orlando FL for Close to my Heart’s Annual Convention and I am so so so excited!  Before I left I made these “Mousekeeping” envelopes to use when I leave the daily tips for the hotel cleaning staff.

The base for these little tip envelopes are the Ruby Designer Creations Paper Bags and they are among the collection of Designer Creations products being retired this year.  Below you can see the bags come in three patterns per color and in each package you get 5 of each or a total of 15.  And the color options are Honey, Ruby, Lagoon, and Slate.

Retiring My Creations Products 2DESIGNER CREATIONS are the fun pre-made packaging items and mini  photo albums that make great gifts, party decor, and fun little photo albums!  You can see samples of all of the retiring Designer Creations products here.

These came together so quickly!  I also used two of our retiring Cricut Cartridges (Art Philosophy and Artiste) to cut out my “Thank You” Sentiment and scalloped ovals for the images I stamped.

These products will be available until July 31st (or while supplies last) and you can shop for them right here.

a few of my favorite stamp sets

Collage of Favorite Image Stamp Sets

Now that I’ve picked my chin up off the floor after realizing a whopping 257 stamp sets will be retired this summer, I wanted to highlight a few of my favorite IMAGE stamp sets from the current Annual Inspirations catalog.

adored this year’s Operation Smile set called Animal Greetings.  Fun — easy to color — little animals each with a coordinating punny sentiment.  This has been darling for fun tags and little notes.  My kids have seen quite a few in their lunch box over the past year.

Always Grateful is the beautiful set with a few different trees and beautiful sentiments and the sentiment “Gratitude turns what we have into Enough” gets me every time.

Treats of Friendship and the other animal sentiments are so fun and cute.

The Packages, Boxes and Tags set may not seem glamorous but I love that you “build your own” gift tags in a variety of styles to match any gift wrap paper you have.  I just love when a card or tag “matches” a gift I’ve wrapped.

And finally I think the Salute our Heroes set is fabulous.  Clean, simple, striking and just gets me to the core.  At every Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Veterans Day my heart is filled with humility, respect, and gratitude for the families who serve in our military forces.  We are so blessed to live in this country — and truly it is the Home of the FREE because of the BRAVE.

I have really enjoyed creating cards, scrapbook pages and gifts for friends and family with these beautiful stamp sets!
