Here we go….

Sugar Rush - Layout #1

Sugar Rush – Layout #1

This layout was very much inspired by a layout created by another CTMH consultant (Denis Tarlinton).  Her original beautiful layout featured a soft pink as the accent color against the white and gray papers.  Very pretty and elegant.

But I wanted to use this layout to preserve Easter memories… and my egg coloring photos included more blue, green & purple colors than soft pink colors.

♥  SOOO —  I modified her design by featuring Seaglass as my accent color against the white & gray.  You can see Sea Glass (the CTMH “color of the year”)  in the patterned papers, glitter paper and Sugar Rush Complements I chose on the layout picture here and in the close ups below.

Ideally this layout is for 4 photos:  2 horizontal 4×6 photos, 1 4×4 square photo, and 1 5×7 vertical photo.

BUT — I always take tons of pictures (probably ‘too many’ if you ask my kids) so you’ll notice I squeezed in a few more into this design… for a total of 7 photos!

  • in the space for a 5×7 photo I made a composite of 3 smaller photos
  • and in space for one of the 4×6 photos, I put in two 3×4 size photos.

Sugar Rush – Layout #2

That Denise is one talented and inspiring scrapbooker!  This layout copied her page design, color scheme and choices of patterned papers from another one of her lovely creations.  (have to admit I’m feeling a little guilty as I write this…. but imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?)

The minor modifications I made were:

to use the confetti sprinkled pattern paper under the photo collage instead of a more bold patterned paper she chose.

and I added some glittery banner accents because I’m on a mission to … Make America Glitter Again.

I also decided this would be a great place to showcase the adorable February Stamp of the Month set called Easter Bunny that I colored with an assortment of Alcohol Blending Markers.  So fun!

This layout is for 7 photos:  2 vertical 4×6 photos, 1 horizontal 4×6 photo, 3 4×4 photos, and 1 6×6 photo.

♥ In the 6×6 photo on my layout, you can see my beautiful Mom slicing the most delicious egg-twist braided bread that she makes from scratch.  It’s one of my favorite things about the holidays we celebrate together.

Here are some close ups of the details on this layout.

Sugar Rush - Layout #3

Sugar Rush – Layout #3

Here, I branched out a little – I didn’t copy from another CTMH consultant for this one.  This layout was inspired by a sketch from Scrapbook Generations — but I picked out the colors, patterned papers, and embellishments myself.

I really wanted to play up the bold spotted patterned paper from the Sugar Rush collection so that was the dominant paper for the cluster of vertical banners on the left page of this layout.

And then you know my “mission”… Of course there was room for glitter paper — on the cupcake frosting AND bordering the strip of photos across the top of layout.  I even found a way to use CTMH’s fun shimmer brush pens too!  ….clear shimmer on the pouff of the birthday hat and gold shimmer on the flames of the candles.

I also wanted to incorporate the Sweet Birthday stamp set AND the coordinating thin cut dies on my layout.  The cupcake, birthday hat and candles are all from those stamps & dies.

This layout is for 6-7 photos:  5 4×4 photos, 1-2 vertical 3×4 photos, and 1 horizontal 4×6 photo.

Here are some close ups of the details on this layout.
