Are you ready for some Enchantment?!

Enchantment L3 - detail on left 1 It’s all beauty… no beast!

rich vibrant colors:  eggplant, peacock, pomegranate, and poppy to name a few.

bold large scale patterns: big monochromatic spots, wide beachy/cabana stripes, AND

several patterned papers in small-scale patterns to coordinate and keep it all balanced.

The March mix crop features 2-page scrapbook layouts with the gorgeous Enchantment Fundamentals, coordinating “My Boy” Complements, Enchantment Ribbon Pack and various enamel and glittered adhesive gems.  Attend the crop (Thursday March 23rd) or order the kit “to go” and you’ll be able to make all of these layouts for your own albums!  When you RSVP by March 14th, I’ll pre-order the kit you choose (see options here:   Scrapbooking Mix Crop – Kit Options for Enchantment) to have everything ready for you by next Thursday at the Mix Crop.

Here are the three scrapbook layout samples

Layout #1 – bold stripes — beyond the beach

I chose the bold striped patterned paper in Pomegranate and paired it up with the swiss dot patterned paper in the same Pomegranate color.  I can’t get enought of that deep red color!  For the most part I wanted to keep the whole layout monochromatic so my photos wouldn’t get lost on the page.

My photo subject for this layout was a Cubs Game outing …. when my oldest was just a baby and when winning the world series seemed like an impossibility…. so I did work in little bits of blue.  You can see it in the bakers twine from the ribbon kit, a banner and complement sticker, and the blue enamel dots.

Here are some extra photos zooming in on some of the layout details.  Thin cuts are all on sale this month so I added some glittery stars too.

Layout #2 – seeing spots

Disclaimer – everyone in my family thinks I have gone bananas to do a whole scrapbook layout about my car.  But I  was really, really excited to move beyond my years as part of the (mini)Van-Clan.  If you laugh at me about this layout, know that you’re not alone.  :-)

With the exception of an embellishment cluster in the lower right corner and the XOXO element on the right side of the layout, I am letting the peacock colored spotted paper have the bottom portion of the layout all to itself — and then I’m adding all of my photos and most embellishments above that on some more subtle background paper.  I added a swath of the New England Ivy grid patterned paper in the center and then a swath of Memo Fundamentals patterned paper across the top.  Most of the kraft & black accents around the photos are from the Complement assortment but I also added in some satin ribbon from the ribbon assortment and some black enamel dots.  Here are some extra close up photos.

Layout #3 – lovin’ the leftovers…

This layout with a basic grid of 3×3 photos will probably look a little bit different for each person who makes it and I know they’ll all be awesome!!!

  •  You choose which ever patterned papers you wish for the 3×3 squares between and around the photos.
  • And then what sentiments and accents you use and stamp around those pictures is also totally up to you.  I used a couple fun new stamp sets:  Silly Sayings from the Seasonal Expressions catalog AND This & That from the Annual Inspirations catalog.
  • You’ll have a lot of complements to choose from!  I also added some glittery black stars (Thin Cut) and lots of enamel gems in black, white, blue, green and purple.

I also just adore the bigger sentiment stamped on to the fern spotted square.  It says:  “Live in the moments and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering.”  Good advice if you read it in a card, on a home decor piece, or on a scrapbook layout!  Don’t you agree?

If you’d like to get a kit to make all these layouts for yourself, here are the options:

  1. Plan to attend my March 23rd Mix Crop by signing up (send me an email with your kit choice) by March 14th.
  2. If you can’t make it to the mix crop, you can order a Kit “to go”.  There may be an extra charge if you want me to do any of the stamping before you pick up the kit.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog.  I hope you like what you saw!
